|The SAMANTHA Crochet Beanie Hat|
UPDATE: This Etsy customer appreciation photo goes to Yvonne completes and describes her experience about the Samantha beanie hat with 5 twists I'm so proud of Yvonne, my enthusiastic Etsy customer. I love her for that! Here is what she has to say:
The SAMANTHA hat pattern does not appear to be a very difficult pattern to follow, and it also appears that once started, it really should only take a few hours to complete.
(The LAUREN cloche hat pattern took a little longer, and I think the SNAKE scarf turned out to be an excellent teaching tool for all the other twist patterns.)
I was a little nervous at first about having 5 twists instead of 1, but I decided to just "go with the flow" and follow your instructions EXACTLY! And let the rest take care of itself. It worked out!
I haven't quite developed an eye for how to tell, at a glance, if there are 5 twists, (that will come with time and repetition I suppose). I have however finished the SAMANTHA hat! I will include a photo of it with this message.
Now I am going to go ahead and do the CAROLYN Beanie hat, before I attempt the other two (the FRONTIER Sun hat pattern and the OMBRETTA cloche hat pattern). I am curious to see the difference between the two (SAMANTHA Turban hat & CAROLYN Beanie hat) up close.
Now that I have finished the SAMANTHA, I am more confident that the CAROLYN will go smoothly, and since I am feeling much better it should not take me as long to complete it. Also, it gives me another chance to practice making the 5 twists. You know what they say, "Practice makes perfect!"
Now to keep this from becoming "a book" about the last 5 days, I will end here and get back to you soon with CAROLYN photos. Once again thanks for the blog entry, I loved it.
