Crochet Infinity Scarf Dimensions: My Evolutions of the Crochet Infinity Scarf

LAUREN Crochet Infinity Cowl Scarf

Crochet infinity scarf dimensions include the traditional crochet infinity scarf that spreads up and down. My evolution of the crochet infinity scarf travels not only up and down, but outward and more shapely like a hyperbolic surface. Do you want to learn how to crochet the infinity twist? Follow these instructions when working the mobius twist for any of these scarves and twisted hats: work the infinity crochet twist, Hold your chain flat (with your left thumb on top) and be sure the wsc chain lies flat and is facing up. With only your left hand, twist the chain one half, with your thumb towards your body. Your starting tail will be on the outside. Insert your hook through the first chain and join together the 2 ends with a slip stitch.

Row 1: Ch 1; 1 SC in back loop of every chain. When you're halfway you notice you start to crochet at the other side , in the remaining loop of the starting chain. 1 SC in the back loop in the first sc of row 1 Remember: work in the BACK SIDE of the chain since you twisted it one half.

NOTE: When you sc 1 in the top horizontal single strand loop of the ch, the bottom horizontal single loop becomes the top horizontal single front loop in the second half of the row. That is the “magic” of the mobius. The back of the chains look like upside-down e's in the first part of the chain row. The chains in the second half of the row look like single strand bars because as mentioned earlier the horizontal bottom loops become the top horizontal loops in the second half of the row. When you're halfway, you notice you crochet at the other side in the remaining loop of the starting chain. You will see this as you go along.

For this particular scarf, half twist like the pictures above, but half twist 7 times to give the ruffle effect.
