Does My Hat Shop Do More Than Sell Handmade Crochet Hats? How does it make you feel? The Challenge of Branding. I Need Your Help

Does my hat do more than sell handmade crochet hats? How does it make you feel? Perhaps it the unusual handmade goodness that makes simple complex? Majority of my customers are 50+ women. I seem to have a knack for that market. I get the feeling that I encourage them to get out of their shell and dust off their crochet needles and yarn back into the mode and challenge them with my patterns. What is your opinion. Please feel free to comment blow this post.

Customer Service is my greatest value. I like to answer questions you might have whether you convo, text, and call on the phone. Sometimes solving problems require a phone call. I like to do that. My best solution is to get to the bottom of the problem where you feel at ease. One example is my smartphone. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night or I may not be at my laptop computer. The Etsy app informs me wherever I go whatever time. I like that. Some people need that extra human response. It can make a difference between the customer leaving or staying.

Though people may never heard of my shop, nor my designs, I have lots of new viewers everyday. Sometimes I get the feeling people feel intimidated to try my patterns and/or wonder how to wear my designs. My intentions are far from it!  I feel the world is ready for my hats and scarves because other hats look one-dimensional. I want to explore new dimensions where the cliche says, "Go where no man has gone before".

My biggest challenge is the spring/summer time unlike the boosting and busy winter time. My shop becomes extinct while other crochet hats shops do well with their patterns. I have patterns too. Here is my workshop list.

One example of customer service is when I got to the bottom of a problem: One night at a party, I received an Etsy alert form one my customers. He informed me the crochet patterns he bought for his wife never arrived. I replied that he could download the patterns from his email account once the payment cleared. One week later I received an email from Paypal that he filed a dispute. Instead of getting angry, I got the impression that he was not familiar with downloading a pattern. I convoed in the dispute reply box and Etsy convo what I was doing. I replied, "Sorry for the misunderstanding I had no idea you were still having trouble with downloading the pattern." I sent him my phone number. He called me back and he told me his situation. He sounded like an older gentleman by the sound of his voice. We conversed. As it turned out his antivirus program from his internet service worked too well. It would not allow him to download any documents whatsoever from any outside sources. I grew concerned because if he wanted to make any future purchases, he and his wife would have more problems with this. Instead of printing and physically mailing the pattern through snail mail, I copied and pasted the written instructions and sent it to their email address. I have yet to see how the SNAKE infinity scarf turned out. He closed the Paypal dispute. Therefore if you have a problem, you need to tell me and I will fix it for you in every way possible.
